APEX LOUNGE at SEVENTH HIGH Global City Taguig

Apex Lounge  @   Seventh High.

Everyone has always reminisced our childhood days. We had the opportunity to go back to our memory lane when we had a food blogger night at Apex.

We were lucky to have some of the all time favorites of pasta, corndog, and pizza (Adobo Pizza).

At the beginning, we often talked about the place in general. Location wise, they are right at the heart of Bonifacio Global City. Just beside one of the known reputable club, you definitely can’t go wrong. The ambiance is quite impressive.  It gives you a modern and classy feeling. The great and nice servers they have. A warm smile is a must.  A perfectly and  friendly accommodation is a number one in the on every guest’s request.

The long night had begun well;

Ambiance: Check,
Service: Check.

APEX LOUNGE SEVENTH HIGH

MEATBALL PASTA

OLD AGED JAGERMEIFTER

MINI CORNDOGS

Now the fun part begins,

I had first tasted the ........

'mini corn dogs' ~ the appetizer.  deep fried sausages dipped in a special corn batter served with honey mustard.

I am not really a corndogs fan, but this corndogs is something I can rave about. It is made out of Hungarian sausage. Yes! Not the typical hotdog which just to say we offer corndogs but really it is just like a waffle. The consistency of the coating was nice, it was not over cooked, nor barely just around the sausage.  The honey mustard dip that comes with it is just a perfect pair it was not the typical honey mustard that can be too sweet or just too sour. So far, so good. Next in the list is;

'Meatball Pasta' ~ 3 inch Gorgonzola's-stuffed meatball on top of a bed of linguini's pasta with Red Wine

I am a Pasta Lover, Fan of every pasta cuisine. I was actually thinking that time on how can they meet or better yet exceed my expectations. First, the linguini's in itself was not over cooked. It's 'Al dente'. The red wine sauce that was used is just perfect. It was not over empowering that you would really feel and know that you are having a alcohol content.  It's has Phenomenal way pasta blends with the red wine sauce . Finely cooked Meat balls, but I have to be honest though, that I was actually focusing more on the pasta and the sauce since that two blown me away.

And lastly, I had the 'Adobo Pizza'. The Filipino authentic style of pizza. Well this is kind of a bold dish because this can either be a hit or miss.  Infusing two all-time favorite means you really have to taken it up a notch and not really over power one with the other. I'd rather say Apex did a good job. They were able to captured the Filipino taste of adobo and gave it a little twist.  It was something I’ll definitely try again.

For my final verdict of the experience: 4 stars.

"The experience was good but as they say there will always be a room for improvement"

Thank you for reading.

No diet...Lol!! I am craving for my own cook spaghetti...

The typical sauce is no content of Queso de Bola in it and no spices and herbs additives ..

And we remember that it's April month, it's Potpot's month!!!

FIGARO Coffee Company @ Lakefront Sucat

I almost done sipping my caffein free coffee when I realized that I need to take photos of it.. Lol!

Anyway, far from knowledge.. Figaro is a local competitor of the well known Starbucks..

It's coffee is made out of locals such as batangas, and or from Cavite City. The strong preference of coffee addict is based from their own taste buds. Some may appreciate the local originated or some may penchant from the foreign source like Starbucks..

Anyhow, i still prefer locals because in my own perception it has minimal sweet comparable to any Cafe stores...

You must taste it tell me which you prefer most? It's all up to your taste buds.

Pandesal ~ Philippine local bread

Pandesal?

What's that? It's a bread.. You can purchase it only in the morning in our local bakery nearest you. Sometimes you can rarely see and smell the aroma of it in the afternoon.

This may cook in electric oven or in "pugon" a wooden oven that is more tastier when cooking it in pugon. We layered it with butter or a home made peanut butter. Try this some too and smell the aroma of new cooked pandesal from the locals.

And so, another get away has passed during entire lenten season. It was a pause and nature trip though we need to reflect sometimes during lenten days that enabled Catholics to reflect on the life of Jesus Christ, and Christianity as a whole, more in the Philippines than not, was well served by this important religious remembrance likewise.

The heat is relative to where you live. In inner cities, the heat is immeasurably immense. Those who can afford it escape to cooler outskirts. And one does not have to have a private vehicle to join the bus beater to Ilocos. Ilocos Norte has buses with stations strategically located in Sampaloc and EDSA where one can simply board and sleep the night away, safe, and in air-conditioned style. And Ilocos Norte and Sur has a lot of tourist spot. Likely, you have to vent and search the hidden places of Ilocos and enjoy the scenic spot it has.

who will take you to scenic sights or historical places, and, along the way, savor the province’s specials of  'bagnet', 'sorbetes (local ice cream)' and or 'empanada'.
